Hotel Details

WHAT IS THE NAME OF THE HOTEL?

  • We are staying at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino.

  • Our hotel is in walking distance from Aruba's vibrant culinary and shopping scene. 

  • Please note that the Marriott Hotel Chain has three properties on Palm Beach and one property on Eagle Beach - all with different names.  Please ensure you come to the correct property (Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino) on our Wedding Day!

IS THERE A GUEST GROUP RATE FOR THE HOTEL?

Yes!  There are two group rates available for the Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino hotel:

  1. Run of the House Rate = $289 per night (plus 24.83% tax & $3.50 per night fee).  Run of the House Rooms are Garden View or Partial Ocean View Rooms (based on availability).

  2. Premium Ocean Rate = $339 per night (plus 24.83% tax & $3.50 per night fee).  Premium Ocean Rooms are Ocean View Rooms.

  3. Complementary WIFI & complementary use of the Health Club Facilities are included in the Group Rate.  (Spa Services are additional)

WHAT IS THE GUEST GROUP RATE ROOM COMMITMENT?

  1. A minimum 5 night stay per guest room is required at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino hotel for the following nights:                Arrival Date & Check In:         Friday 10/22/2021 at 4:00pm                  Departure Date & Check Out:  Wednesday 10/27/2021 at 11:00am

  2. The Guest Group Rate is only available if a minimum of 5 x guest rooms are booked at the Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino hotel for the 5 night stay minimum.

  3. If the Wedding Group's actual usage is less than 5 rooms per night, all guest rooms will be charged at the hotels current available rate.

 

IS THERE A GUEST GROUP RATE EXTENSION AVAILABLE?

Yes!  The Guest Group Rate can be extended 3 days prior to the Arrival Date and 3 days after the Departure date, based on availability. 

   ----> FYI:  Jules & Richard will be arriving Tuesday 10/19 & departing                 Wednesday 10/27.

 

WHAT TYPE OF HOTEL ROOMS & BEDS ARE AVAILABLE?

  • All guest rooms will have either two queen sized beds or one king size bed with a pull out sofa.  Please submit your request at the time of booking.​

  • No suites are being held at this time.  Please contact our wedding coordinator, Duska Dirksz at duska.dirksz@marriott.com if you require a suite.

 

HOW DO I MAKE A GUEST GROUP RATE RESERVATION?

  1. It is the responsibility of each guest to make, modify and/or cancel their own room reservation.

  2. The Guest Group Rate Reservation Link is now open and can be made via the easy online PASSKEY link provided below.  

  3. Please notify the bride or groom if you plan on using the Guest Group Rate so that they can ensure the 5 x guest room minimum is met.

  4. One night room & tax deposit will be charged to you at the time of booking as the first nights payment.

  5. The Guest Group Rate is guaranteed for reservations made on or before the Cutoff Date of August 23, 2021.  Any reservations made after the Cutoff Date shall be at the Hotels current available rate.

WHAT IS A MASTER CHARGE ACCOUNT?

  • Every hotel room booked will have its own master charge account. 

  • The guests in each room will be responsible for the full payment of all accommodation, taxes and incidentals incurred by them at the hotel.

WHAT DINING OPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?

  • The Marriott hotels in Aruba do not have an All Inclusive meal plan option, however: 

  • Breakfast is served daily at the hotel:  Hot Breakfast ($16), Continental Breakfast ($18), Buffet Breakfast ($30)

  • Hotel Room Service is also available for all meals and snacks.

  • The hotel has five onsite restaurant options:  Atardi, Ruth's Chris Steak House, La Vista, The Lobby and Waves Beach Bar & Grill.

  • Daily happy hour is available at both The Lobby and Waves Beach Bar & Grill.

  • The hotel has three onsite To Go options:  Starbucks, Gelato & Co and a Convenience Store.

  • The hotel has a swim up Pool Bar in the Main Pool. 

  • The hotel offers an adults only pool and bar option at the H2O Oasis Bar.

  • A variety of restaurants and stores are available within walking distance of the hotel.

ARE PASSPORT'S REQUIRED?

  • Yes!  All foreign nationals will be required to present a valid passport or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.

WHICH AIRLINES FLY INTO ARUBA?

  • The following airlines fly into Aruba:  American, Delta, United, Jet Blue, Southwest, Spirit, Aruba, Surinam,  KLM, TUI Netherlands, Avianca, Wingo & Copa.

  • Please check with your specific airline for their current Covid-19 regulations at the airport and in flight.

  • Flights can be booked through your travel agent or via the airline website directly. 

WHAT ARE THE AIRPORT & TRANSPORT DETAILS:

  • Airport:  Queen Beatrix International Airport (AUA) 

  • Distance to Aruba Marriott Resort: 7 miles NW

  • Ground Transport:  The hotel does not provide a shuttle service

  • Alternate Transportation:

      - De Palm Tours: $20 (one way & reservations are required) 

      - Estimated taxi fare: $30 (one way)

      - Bus service fee: $5 (one way)

  • Masks are mandatory at the airport and during any public transportation.

Wedding Details

IS THE WEDDING INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

  • We have opted for an outdoor wedding to ensure we make our wedding safe for our guests ...and who doesn't want to get married on the BEACH?!

  • The Ceremony, Cocktail Hour & Dinner Reception will be held on Palm Beach, Aruba directly in front of the Marriott's Resort.

  • Rest assured our venue is a sprawling property with plenty of space to move around!

HOW MANY GUESTS ARE ATTENDING?

  • At this time we are expecting a total of 19 (bride & groom included).

DO YOU HAVE A WEDDING DAY SEATING PLAN?

  • Yes we do!

  • Firstly, we can’t wait to finally have all of our favorite people together in one place!  That being said, our wedding seating plan is in line with the current COVID-19 restrictions (and as such could be subject to change).

  • At the Beach Ceremony, chairs will be provided theater style but if you feel more comfortable standing, that is absolutely fine too. 

  • At the Beach Reception Dinner there will be one long rectangular table beneath a canopy.

  • We will be seating guests together with their close family and household members.

WILL THERE BE A BAR SERVICE?!

  • We will provide a Four Hour Open Bar at the Wedding.

  • A Bar Station with Bartender will be conveniently located near our Dinner Table.

HOW WILL THE RECEPTION DINNER BE SERVED?

  • A three course meal will be served plated in individual portions. 

WHAT ARE THE RECEPTION DINNER ENTREE CHOICES?

Guests can SUBMIT one of the following three options via the Form on the left hand side:

  1. Filet Mignon with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, market vegetables, mushroom sauce

  2. Bacon Filet Mignon with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, market vegetables, mushroom sauce

  3. Macadamia Nut Crusted Red Snapper with roasted cauliflower puree, roasted baby carrots, red curry coconut sauce​​

Covid-19 Details

As of May 25, 2021 Aruba has certain Covid-19 mandates and precautions in effect until further notice.  Please check the link below during the months to follow for the most current policies.

WHAT IS ARUBA'S MASK POLICY?

Wearing a mask is mandatory at specific places in Aruba:

  • Visitors and locals are expected to have a mask with them at all times to use in mandated places as well as any other instance where social distancing is not possible.

  • The government of Aruba requires that all inbound visitors ages 15 and older wear a mask in flight and at the airport. 

  • The government of Aruba requires all visitors and locals to wear a mask in every indoor public space. 

  • The government of Aruba requires all visitors and locals to wear a mask on public transportation (tour busses,  public busses & taxis) and at all times when transferring to and from the airport to their accommodation and until they enter their room at their booked place of stay.

  • As with all of Aruba’s policies and restrictions, this will be monitored and is subject to change as the situation develops.

WILL MASKS BE PROVIDED?

  • We will provide one reusable cloth mask & three disposable masks for each guest upon arrival. 

  • Remember to bring your own mask to wear at the airport, in  flight & during the ride to the hotel. 

WHAT ARE THE CURRENT COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS?

  • The current curfew is from 12:00am - 4:30am.

  • All casinos are required to close by 11:00pm.

  • No dancing is allowed.

  • Catamarans and charter boats can operate at 50% capacity.

  • Masks are mandatory in all indoor spaces & on all public transportation. 

  • Social distancing is mandatory. 

  • Restaurants tables must be at least 1.5 meters apart. 

  • Hotel bars can serve at the bar but only to registered hotel guests.

  • These restrictions are current as of May 25, 2021.   As with all of Aruba’s procedures and restrictions, this will be monitored and is subject to change as the situation develops.  

HOW WILL CLEANLINESS BE ENSURED DURING OUR STAY?

Please be assured that your health and safety is our top priority and we will adhere to the current Covid-19 restrictions and guidelines that are in place at the time of our Wedding.  In addition we will provide the following for each guest upon arrival at the Hotel:

  • Guest will receive a mini sanitizer bottle, along with four face masks.  Please also bring extra sanitizer and your own mask for airport arrivals & departures, all public transportation and all indoor spaces. 

  • Although glasses will be washed and sterilized after each use, we will provide each guest with a personalized tumbler that we encourage you to use daily.

  • We will have a few large sanitizer bottles stationed around the Wedding venue on our Wedding Day for your convenience.

 Mandatory Aruba Entry Requirements

 

THE ONLINE ED CARD:

As of May 10, 2021, in order for visitors to be granted entry

into Aruba A MANDATORY ONLINE ED CARD IS REQUIRED FOR

EACH INDIVIDUAL ENTERING ARUBA - PRIOR TO ARRIVAL.

There are FIVE STEPS that each individual visitor must complete

to get their own Mandatory Online ED Card prior to arrival. 

Entry will be denied if ANY STEP is incomplete or missing.

 

 STEP 1:   Basic Traveler Information Form

 STEP 2:  Personal Health Assessment Questionaire

 STEP 3:  Upload Your Negative COVID-19 Test Result (SEE NOTE 1)

 STEP 4:  Purchase Mandatory Aruba Visitors Insurance (SEE NOTE 2)

Re-entry into the United States

The U.S. government requires all international airline passengers to show proof of a negative, PCR or Antigen, Covid-19 test before boarding flights back to the United States.   In addition, the results of the test must be from no more than 72 hours prior to departure. 

 NOTE 1:   NEGATIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT 

  • Negative Covid Test Results are mandatory for all foreign nationals to enter Aruba.

  • All costs related to PCR testing are the responsibility of the visitor and tests are not required for children 14 and under.

 

 

     There are  TWO TEST OPTIONS  available:

 OPTION ONE:   Take Test PRIOR To Arrival (recommended) 

  • Tests must be taken 72 hours prior to departure (or closer to departure) & the results need to be uploaded to your ED CARD no later than 12 hours prior to departure to Aruba.

  • Any tests & results executed before 72 hours prior to departure to Aruba will not be valid.

  • Test must be a COVID-19 test, obtained from a nasal/oral swab specimen through amplified Molecular testing performed by a certified lab.

  • The test provider is of your choice & costs may vary by provider.

       OPTION TWO:   Take Test UPON Arrival In Aruba  

  • Molecular PCR COVID-19 tests are conducted at the airport immediately after arrival in Aruba.

  • Testing will be followed by a  Mandatory Quarantine  at the visitor’s booked accommodation until test results are finalized.  If negative, the quarantine is not expected to last more than 24 hours. 

  • The cost of PCR tests taken in Aruba is $75 per person and needs to be pre-paid as part of the online ED Card process.

  • Children 14 and under are not required to take the PCR test.

NOTE 2:   ARUBA VISITORS INSURANCE

  • Aruba Visitors Insurance is mandatory for all foreign nationals to enter Aruba.

  • The Aruba Visitors Insurance must be purchased in advance of travel as part of the online ED CARD process.

  • The Aruba Visitors Insurance helps protect visitors against incurred medical and non-medical expenses if testing positive for COVID-19 during their stay in Aruba.

  • One’s own travel insurance can be supplementary to the Aruba Visitors Insurance but cannot replace it.

  • Premiums are a flat rate of $30 per person for persons 15 and over and $10 for persons 14 and younger for a maximum duration of 180 days.
